We recently were contacted by ARTIITII, a small Swedish company/brand based on printing extremely limited-edition collector t-shirts. From the looks of their current selection, these seem to feature gorgeous portraits of famous artists; the starting lineup includes designs of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, for example.
Each design is available in limited runs of 100, with each print individually numbered. They really are quite beautiful, and must be especially appealing to true fans of these musicians. I especially love the contrast in the Bob Dylan portrait. Of course, the “limited edition” label does come with a literal price: each of these shirts is a whopping $70, which includes shipping. Both designs are printed on American Apparel shirts.
On a side note, I love the site design — it’s so clean and the checkout system is just genius. It flows naturally down the page in the most wonderful way.
I’m pretty sure these shirts are priced out of the range of most people, myself included, but I’ll probably continue to keep an eye on them anyway based on the quality of the celebrity portraits. I’d love to see what other musicians/artists they print in the future.
