Hooray for another great Tilteed selection! I’m totally loving everything about “Jackalope“, from the composition to the color palette to the fantastic meshing of lines and shapes with halftones. I’m just a huge sucker for abstract/modern art type designs on t-shirts, and this piece by Recycled Wax hits the nail on the head. Even better, it’s yours for only $12! I’m way too used to seeing these designs sold for $30 and up — Tilteed does my college student funds proud.
“Jackalope” is a departure from Recycled Wax’s usual work, which tends to lean towards the cute-blobby-characters-and-cartoons side of things. This piece is the result of his graphic design teacher advising him to experiment more, and I’m pleased to say that the experiment succeeded. “Jackalope” is classy and has a touch of pop art flavor without losing the humor and lightheartedness found in the rest of Recycled Wax’s portfolio.
Did I mention that the silver/white/lime green combination looks absolutely sizzling? Because it does.
