Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve done this. Sorry folks! It’s been a while since I bought from any new brands, so there hasn’t been much for me to review. However, after receiving my first-ever tee from the geniuses at Paper Root, I feel like I have something to write about!
At a Glance
Paper Root is a streetwear brand from beautiful sunny Florida. Their tees are defined by an elegant, artistic style with striking graphics; it’s for this reason that they are one of my favorite indie companies. When they say they’re releasing a new line, you’ll know that it’s going to be great.
The Shirt
This tee is from Paper Root’s past winter line, and is still available in the store in Small, Large, and X-Large (and in X-Large in the white colorway). I admit, part of the reason I purchased it is because I wanted to try out the American Apparel tri-blends after hearing everyone talk about how comfy they are. And wow, are they comfy. It’s simply the most comfortable shirt in my wardrobe, and it helps that the Small is still rather loose on me. The fabric is super-soft and lightweight without being sheer. I wore the hell out of it this past weekend.
It definitely helps that the design is interesting as well. I love the art style and the cute, quirky concept. My friend actually took a look at my shirt and asked me why the seahorse was in a crystal. I told him I didn’t know, but it didn’t much matter since it was such a cool, comfortable shirt!
This tee comes with a custom hang tag and neck tag — nice extra touches which make the product look that much more professional. (Sorry about the glare!)
Shipping and Service
My package shipped the day after I placed the order, and arrived at my address within 2 business days. A tracking number and shipping confirmation were provided — two helpful things many indie brands neglect to offer. Nice service!
The shirt came in this nifty custom mailer (pictured above). It’s definitely going to be one of those bags I keep around, simply because I love the art.
Closing Thoughts
Paper Root provides a quality product with great touches such as the custom tags and mailer. Their shipping is extremely quick. Above all, they offer a huge selection of awesome designs no t-shirt fan should miss.
