You can always count on Rob Dobi to release fresh, creative designs. His newest line, Series 10, is no different. Not to mention it comes packaged in a classy new design for his site!
Rob has covered all the bases for Series 10 — there are lighthearted, colorful designs with playful themes, and darker, black/gray designs. They’re more than just (exceptionally) pretty images, though; like all Dobi designs, there seems to be a deeper meaning in each one. “Shallow Grave” is a particularly excellent example of this. The figure seems to be both diving into and laying crucifix-style in the coffin.
This shirt has been fairly popular in the t-shirt community, and it’s easy to see why — the great use of space and shapes, combined with an attractive color scheme and deepness of the subject matter, all add up to a fantastic shirt. The AA Tri-blends, I hear, are pretty comfy too. I don’t own any Fullbleed tees yet (shocker, I know) but this may have to go on my buying list. Not only because it’s a damn impressive shirt, but because I want to see how comfy the Triblends are for myself.
“Razors Edge” is my second favorite from this Series, and would be another must-buy if it wasn’t for the fact that I tend to look horrible in bright red shirts. I’m a huge sucker for the red/black/white palette and this design pulls it off with true style. I love the juxtaposition of the simple white silhouette with the more grungy, photorealistic black cards (?).
