In an attempt to get more variety into our Exclusive Deals, I went and contacted Havok Clothing. These guys specialize in skater-style clothing and have a lot of horror/gore/metal type shirts in their catalog. I just have to say, I love their website — super clean and professional. The branding is also really solid, as we’ll see in the shirts reviewed below.
I love this shirt, and yes, I usually hate logo tees. What makes “Chiller” different is that the logo is firstly a design. I love the balance created by the three letters, the style of the font, the huge print, the general simplicity. If that wasn’t enough, this design comes in five colorways — silver, black, purple and turquoise. Most brands only do about two colorways, if at all, so it’s impressive to see Havok go out on a limb here.
Of the gore designs, I like “Predator” the most. I like the comparatively clean illustration work and the pale red/white/turquoise color palette. The slash of white across the logo is a nice touch, simultaneously tying it in with the rest of the piece and giving it interest. Like the tee above, this shirt is offered in multiple colorways: silver, black, and turquoise.
In fact, I think all of their shirts have multiple color options! Nice!
