Bear Annihilator is a small brand that doesn’t seem to get a lot of press, which is a sad thing because they seem to be a group of rather creative and talented folks who know how to have fun. This is immediately apparent in the name of their company — I mean, with a name like “Bear Annihilator”, how can you go wrong?
The t-shirts themselves represent the brand name by prominently featuring a bear character who looks ready to beat you up. This guy plays Godzilla, rides nuclear missiles, and gets in fights with giant robots, among other things. He leads an exciting life! The graphics are clean, bold, and well-drawn, done in a style that befits the subject matter. The limited color palette lends a comic-like feel to the designs.
For those of you who don’t like killer bears, Bear Annihilator has offered us something a little less violent. “Stride” is possibly one of my favorite designs in their catalog for its simple but effective color scheme, great cartoon art style, and sweet concept. I love how the bear’s baseball cap is depicted in the act of popping off his head, giving the piece a sense of motion and energy.
