Aaaand I’m back! With a coupon, no less.
Today’s Exclusive Deal features Gamerprint, a gaming t-shirt site from the UK. I haven’t seen a lot of these types of sites from the UK, so if you’re a gamer hailing from that part of the world, you’ll be thrilled to hear that it’s one of the good ones. They even make sure this is one of the first things you know upon visiting their page:
Like many other gamers-who-double-as-tee-fans (this blogger included!), the dudes at Gamerprint are well aware of the generally substandard gaming shirts out there. As much as we would desire otherwise, gaming isn’t usually looked upon favorably in society and you probably won’t win a lot of good first impressions (read: people will probably think you are an unsociable basement dweller) if you go around with a picture of Mario on your chest. The Gamerprint guys dodge this with a crop of well-designed tees that make references to the games we know and love in subtle but clever ways. You know those logo/ad tees you see for taverns and the like? Think of those, except with characters and concepts from games!
This is actually one of the more straightforward examples in their catalog, but I wanted to mention it since Bioshock and it sequel are two of my favorite games, ever. The art deco feel of the Bioshock world comes through well in the design of this logo. It feels like a sign I’d see while wandering through Rapture.
Halo: Reach is coming out soon, which means that Bungie will be raking in a lot of money, and hopefully that extends to Gamerprint with their simple-but-sweet Reach-inspired tee. This is a great example of subtle but instantly-recognizable-to-the-”in”-crowd design — no one but Halo fans will know just what the heck “Noble Team” means! This shirt is actually on preorder and won’t be shipped out until September 14th…the same day as the game itself.
Their talents also extend to wall art, such as this neat Mass Effect 2-inspired poster. Great game, great design!
You can check out the rest of Gamerprint’s shirts at their product page, where you’ll find tees inspired by other popular games like Mario, Red Dead Redemption, and Grand Theft Auto. If you like something, you can save 10% off their already quite-reasonable prices with our exclusive coupon, valid until the end of October!
