I’m sure most of you are already familiar with the silhouetted character “compilations” featuring robots (above), Halloween creatures, Internet memes, aliens, vehicles, rock stars of various eras, bearded men, vampires, and the like, so I’ll skip ahead to some newer shirts you may not be aware of.

This charity tee is done in the style of their pop culture compilations, and specifically focuses on the water crises plaguing Earth’s poorer nations. The tee functions as a wearable infographic — each of the icons on the front corresponds to a factoid printed on the inside of the shirt. ALL proceeds from this tee are donated to Well Done, an organization currently working to expand clean water access in Ghana and other African countries.
I really like the design of this shirt; the white/blue/dark gray color scheme is really attractive, and helps draw a connection to the water theme. I actually think it might have been a better idea to print the “cheat sheet” on the back, so as to better spread the message, but it works this way too — there’s a good chance that the interesting graphic will give you an opportunity to start a conversation and spread the message. 
I thought this design, “My Heart is Divided“, was really cute. It’s obviously not aimed at my gender, but I can appreciate the humor. I totally love the graphic, too, but with Chop Shop that goes without saying. I also love that “T-shirts” is included in the diagram (located in the upper left), a nice little shout-out to all the tee fanatics out there.
Another great thing about Chop Shop is that they give you a choice of blanks for many of their designs — if you don’t like the slim fit of American Apparel, you can go for the looser-fitting Alstyle shirt, and vice versa. American Apparel does cost a little bit more, of course.
