“These shirts are the bomb”…and really expensive

I stumbled upon these shirts while browsing the Emptees forum — I totally love the mushroom cloud imagery, but for $295 I think they’re a little out of my range. Sometimes it’s interesting to see just how much designer brands can get away with charging.  The fact that these tees are made of viscose and Lycra and can only be dry-cleaned just makes it all the more laughably “upscale”.  ‘Cause, y’know, us common folk can’t afford to go to the dry cleaners’ every week for our wildly overpriced t-shirts.

That aside, these shirts really are beautiful.  The printing is sublime, leaving little to no flaws as we have come to expect of all-over prints, and the gradients are just gorgeous.  The photos may not be totally original (scroll down), but they sure do look great on a tee.  The gray-to-mint fade on the shirt to the upper left of this paragraph is incredible, especially when contrasted with the bright orange of the cloud.  Super stylish.

So yeah, make no mistake — I’m totally in love with these shirts.  But for $295 and that whole dry-cleaning-only attitude, I think I’ll pass.
