It’s probably too late to pick up anything in time for Christmas unless you shell out for shipping, but this shirt by NerdyShirts is just so cool in a dorky sort of way. It’s a simple costume-style design that works well on the shirt. I like the limited number of details, which keeps the design from becoming tacky. The gold foil belt buckle is a nice touch. I suppose you could get it for next year’s holiday season, or for general wear, though I’m sure some people will give you funny looks for dressing up like Santa in the middle of June.
The original John&Paul&Ringo&George Beatles t-shirt by Experimental Jetset has become much-emulated among the design community. NerdyShirts has just released four new tees based along these lines, with two referencing famous video game characters, and the other two referencing online social networks of different kinds. Personally, I think the spin-offs are getting kind of old, though as a gamer and geek, the subject matters strikes a chord with my heart. On a side-note, I’m glad to see NerdyShirts returning to releasing shirts that are actually nerdy, instead of the same old humor/pop culture tees that can be found on way too many sites to begin with.
