I’m rather partial to hair, myself. Being somewhat of a chimpy disposition this is fortunate, as I have lots of it. Not where I want it, like the top of my hair, where its leaving at a frightening pace, but pretty much everywhere else. Right now I’m growing an unemployed hobo beard, which is progressing delightfully and will soon be ready for photographing and display on this here blog.
So with that as a lead-in I’m excited to introduce to you Hirsute History – a new project from Jeremy Kalgreen who is the t-shirt virtuoso behind Amorphia Apparel, Science and Sir Critter. All really great at what they do, and facilitated using the Spreadshirt platform.
This new site, in his words is
“Shirts featuring the hair of famous people. Not like ‘Britney’ famous, more like important. Well, mostly. Oh, and some beards too.”
I think this is a tremendous idea. Who wouldn’t want to wear a t-shirt adorned with the facial hair silhouette of Karl Marx or Albert Einstein.
Categories include Commies, Existentialists, Modern Painters, Physicists, and erm 80s wrestlers. Who’s while their contribution to the world next to some of these thinkers and artists is somewhat questionable, no-one can doubt that they had some serious bitchin” head hair ornamentation.
