I have nothing to say but “Oh my” to this awesome shirt, on sale at Teefury for $9 + shipping today only. Most shirts at this site are hardly interesting enough to keep me at the site for more than five seconds, but this one seriously makes me consider taking out my wallet. The linework is just amazing — look at all that detail and texture! It brings a sense of movement and life to this piece, along with the great color scheme. I wonder if Teefury will be able to pull off the gradient on the robot? It’d be a shame if they messed that up, since it really helps the look, and keeps the robot from getting lost in the smoke while keeping the color balance just right.
Also, I just noticed the dismembered body parts of some kind of demon or monster in the background, trailed by huge plumes of smoke. Perhaps this robot is a city hero? Makes me think of those Japanese monster movies.
Artist thestray is also the creator of Umibozu, an incredible all-over design which won a prize in the DBH 10k contest. It looks like he has a penchant for giant creatures!
