I could never understand why the Exploded guys insist on running separate domains/sites for everything — it’s horribly disjointed and makes things that much more confusing and inaccessible to customers, but whatever. They’re holding a holiday sale for an unknown amount of time, and you can view said sale at the appropriate domain. All shirts are reduced to $15-$16. A few polos and hoodies are also on sale.
As simple as I’d like that to sound, I’m a rather anal online shopper in that I always search as hard as I can for the best deal possible. That said, there are a couple things to bear in mind:
- Shipping is $6. Per shirt. This makes the sale pretty useless in light of the fact that you can get many of the designs at the main store with much cheaper shipping on multiple shirts.
- On the other hand, the exploded joystick and raygun designs aren’t available in the store, so if you want those, go for the holiday sale page.
- Women’s sizes are available at the main store only.
- I’d say the only items worth getting at this sale are the polo and hoodie, since those aren’t offered in the main store.
…What a confusing business model. Either way, these shirts are sure to be a great gift for the techie/geek/nerd in your life. I definitely would love to get the exploded Xbox 360 or iPhone shirts at some point.
