This months TeeDirectory winner is Death and Destiny who’s been adding deals and reviews with a feverish intensity over the last two months, and thoroughly deserves their prize of a $100 Gift Voucher. Luckily I sent it at the start of the week and no doubt it was greedily gobbled up in possibly the best Threadless sale ever, the 9/9/09 sale. Now a thing of legend.
Congratulations on your win Ivy, what shirts will be top of your purchase list?
I’ve got my eye on Crack! and Invisible Gentleman! I’m surprised that there’s such a large stock of women’s tees for both of these designs, since they’re very beautifully done. At the same time, I’m thankful because that means I can get them without sweating over whether or not they’ll run out!
How did you get into t-shirts and how big is your collection now?
My usual wardrobe consists of a tee and pants/shorts, so I rely on the tee to spice up my look. More specifically, though, gaming is one of my hobbies and really, the only place you can find gaming-related t-shirts is online. From there I discovered sites like Threadless, Design By Humans, etc., and the addiction only grew.
Plus, as an artist, I’ve always had a special appreciation for design and illustration. At present I think I have around 40 shirts, soon to be much more!
What is your favourite shirt from your current collection?
My favorite shirt? That’s a hard one. If I had to pick just ONE, though, I’d pick "Fox Hole" by KINS2, which was printed twice at Teextile. I love the placement and the illustration, and the color scheme is just right. Normally, I’m not a big fan of white shirts, but I just had to get this one. Sadly, it being printed at Teextile means that it’s no longer available for purchase.
(Unless the artist gets it printed elsewhere!…)

A runner-up would be the recent DBH 10k third-place winner, "Journey to the City of No Horizon" by Tang Yau Hoong. I don’t even have the shirt in my hands yet, but I can already tell it’s going to be one of my faves.
I also really enjoy the Paradise Lost hoodie I got from Miles to Go, which is — for the record — probably one of my favorite brands out there, period. Check them out if you haven’t already, because the designs are gorgeous and the regular sales and coupons make them very affordable.
And your favourite designer?
An even harder question! I really like godmachine’s art, though. It makes me sad that not more of it is available on shirts that fit me! I also love wotto and Oiseau’s work.
Most over-rated t-shirt of all time is?
I’d never say this anywhere near Threadless, but "Flowers in the Attic". It’s a beautiful and thought-provoking design, yes, but Threadless has many much better offerings.
Thanks again, Adam, and thanks for creating this great resource for us tee lovers!
If you haven’t been there in a while, drop by the Teedirectory and check out some new stores.

Awesomeness! Thanks so much again for the interview and the certificates, which were sent at perhaps the best time ever. (Though I did save some in case Threadless releases even more awesome tees in the future!) I now have a nice bundle of Threadless shirts on their way to my place. Can't wait to wear them!
Come on. That Flowers In The Attic is sweet. It's powerful and provoking…
[...] I’ll keep this intro short (take a gander at the interview Adam did with me if you want to know more). Expect my first post to come sometime this [...]
